Oscar Nominations 2012: Jennifer Lawrence, 'Hunger Games' Star, Will Announce Nominees

It appears such as the 84th annual Oscars got a bit more "Hunger Games." The Academy of movement Picture Arts & Sciences has introduced that Jennifer Lawrence (a.k.a. Katniss Everdeen) will read from the names from the latest Oscar nominees on Tuesday, Jan. 24. Lawrence, who had been nominated for the best Actress this past year after her breakout performance in "Winter's Bone," will handle the announcing responsibilities with AMPAS leader Tom Sherak. This increase of youth towards the proceedings isn't surprising: producer John Grazer continues to be assigned with making the Oscars attract a more youthful audience, that might explain the Funny or Die-created trailer for that broadcast starring Megan Fox and Josh Duhamel. Lawrence, who co-starred within the 2011 releases "X-Males: Top Class,Inch "ConstantlyInch and "The Beaver," will next been observed in "The Hunger Games," on March 23.
