A video showing an Occupy Oakland protestor getting shot in the face -- by either a rubber bullet or bean bag round -- is going viral. The city's police chief Howard Jordan defended his decision to use tear gas against the protestors: "We were in a position where we had to deploy gas in order to stop the crowd and people from pelting us with bottles and rocks," he told the Los Angeles Times.
